
Personal Information Protection Policy
APLUS Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, "APLUS") is committed to the following key businesses such as "Shopping Credit Business", "Credit Card Business", "Consumer Finance Business", "Settlement Business", etc. APLUS will take all possible measures to protect personal information held by APLUS, as information prudently treated under the principle of respecting each individual. We will endeavor to handle such information in operations, observing the Law on handling personal information, the guidelines laid out by the government, and various laws and ordinances, etc., with the following seven items as the "Basic Policy".
1. APLUS will obtain personal information, after specifying the purpose, consented to by the person subject to the personal information, within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use by lawful and fair means.
2. Deploy managers in charge of handling personal information in all divisions and branches that handle personal information, and appropriately manage obtained personal information. Personal information is used and provided within the scope of the purpose of use, consented to by the person subject to the personal information, and such information will not be used other than for the purposes originally intended.
3. APLUS will provide personal information to tie-up companies, etc. only when consented to by the person subject to the personal information. Furthermore, when APLUS provides personal information to a third party, or entrusts processing of operations that include the personal information to an external company, etc., APLUS will confirm that appropriate and stringent measures are taken by the relevant company, etc., before providing such personal information.
4. APLUS will make efforts to manage and maintain personal information held by APLUS in the accurate and most current state. In order to appropriately manage personal information, APLUS will take safety measures as well as avoidance and correction measures for leakage, impairment, or damage of personal information.
5. If the person subject to the personal information so wishes, such information held by APLUS will be disclosed via APLUS' predetermined procedures. If there are any errors found after disclosure, such errors will be corrected in a prompt manner.
6. APLUS has established the "Customer Counseling Office" as an inquiry and complaint contact point for personal information, and makes efforts to appropriately and speedily respond to such inquiries and complaints.
7. APLUS will prepare and implement the "Personal Information Protection Management System". Furthermore, APLUS will continue improving this Management System.
